FJC History-

The Farmington Judo Club was founded by Mr. Ray Thibodeau in 1972.
The original classes were offered through the Farmington YMCA. Mr. Thibodeau was a member of the prestigious Detroit Judo Club. His Sensei was Mr. Osako. Currently classes are offered through the Farmington Public Schools Community Education Programs.

Class Schedule-

Beginning Judo classes meet on Wednesdays from 6:00 -  7:15 PM.
Intermediate Judo classes meet on Wednesdays from 7:15 - 8:15 PM.
Judo Club meets on Wednesdays from 8:15 - 9:15 PM.

Age Limits for Judo 7yrs. and up.

Is JUDO Dangerous?

Judo is not based on strength. It is a graceful, rather than a violent activity, involving use of maximum efficiency, rather than using maximum force. The technique of mental control, balance, falling. etc., that you learn in judo will make all other sports less dangerous and will minimize accidental injuries of any kind.
